ABOUT RESTRAINT

Restraint is the story of Ex-Soldier Stanton Hewett. He has been a POW for 15 years and has lost all hope of escape or seeing his family again. Until the arrival of a mysterious stranger changes everything.  Restraint is a story of class warfare, and what it means to be human.  A Sci-Fi film in the classic tradition, we will be using practical effects to showcase a personal story speaking to modern social issues.

Our film is reuniting much of the crew from 2016’s Oak Bones. The primary crew is the Junior/Senior class from Messiah College’s Film and Media Arts program. Messiah has an exemplary program, with a rich history of beautifully filmed shorts.
